Experienced staff

Chief Instructor: John W. Tenney

John started flying in 1985, and since 1990 he has been an airline and corporate pilot, check airman, simulator instructor and active flight instructor. He is the Orlando FSDO CFI of the Year for 2024 and 2025 and a Larry D. Enlow Award recipient, an Orlando-area FAASTeam volunteer, and hosts Hangar Talk, a monthly FAA Pilot Proficiency (WINGS) event. His former airlines include American Eagle, USAirways Express, United Express, Mesa Airlines, Air Midwest and Midway Airlines.

Airline/GA Instructor/Advisor: Jason Cutter

Jason brings a career built almost entirely around instruction and safety in aviation flight operations. He has flown as an airline, charter, corporate, and helicopter pilot, and for 30 years has served as a flight instructor, simulator instructor, and contract check airman — including nearly 20 years at FlightSafety International.

His background also includes roles as a university professor, in addition to his instructional work in both airplanes and helicopters. He holds a PhD, an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, and is an active Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) in both airplanes and helicopters.

Jason is recognized as an expert in flight operations, safety, procedure, instructional methods, and organizational leadership.

Airline/GA Instructor/Advisor: Louis Campos

Louis currently flies the Boeing 767-300ER for ATI, an Amazon Carrier. He has extensive instructor experience in aircraft and sim, both in the airlines and companies such as CAE, SIMCOM, and Embry-Riddle. Louis graduated from Embry-Riddle in the 1980s and has been flying professionally ever since.

The EPS staff has served the aviation community for 35 years, and every pilot brings years of airline and corporate experience.

Training

The four-step method, with 4S Aviation.

We train in conjunction with 4S Aviation, an established aircraft-specific training company recognized by major insurance carriers across the country. Every course moves through the same progression — computer-based training, classroom, simulator and in-aircraft — so you arrive prepared and leave genuinely sharp.

From One Pilot to Another

“What they offer is efficient, focused, operationally sound — built by pilots who’ve flown the hours. The four-step process isn’t just a checklist; it’s a progression that builds real skill, judgment and confidence.”

David Johns, King Air B200 manager
